The French Secours populaire is able to act quickly with its Euro-Mediterranean network for solidarity and its partners. The first needs identified concern sheltering affected people, food aid, access to water and the distribution of hygiene and care kits.

As soon as the earthquake was announced, Secours populaire français immediately released an initial envelope of €50,000 from its emergency fund to help victims of the earthquake. Faced with human and material damage, the association is releasing a second envelope of €100,000. Support for the most vulnerable people will be provided over time.

Secours populaire maintains strong ties with Morocco and the Moroccan community and has already provided assistance to victims during emergency situations, notably during the earthquakes in Agadir (1960) and Al Hoceima (2004). In conjunction with local partners, the association has also been carrying out projects since the end of the 1980s in the fields of education, health, access to water and for the development of income-generating activities. .

To meet the immense needs, Secours populaire calls for financial donations and the mobilization of everyone to collect. People who wish to support the association can contact the Secours populaire federation closest to them."
